Free format seminar, open for all educators, students, artists, and researchers

Join us for the Kunstuni Linz International Universities Seminar (KLIUS 2026) on September 10th at the University of Arts Linz, located in the heart of the city. We invite papers, artworks, research, and other scholarly projects exploring artistic expression at the intersection of art, technology, and society.

The seminar offers educators, students, artists, and researchers a platform to present their work and receive constructive feedback. Held during the Ars Electronica Festival, it provides an ideal space for networking and creative exchange among international guests. You are welcome to submit your work as either a digital presentation (such as slides) or an analog poster.

Participators will be grouped into panels of 3-5, depending on the topics of the presentations.

Submissions may include:

• Activism & social engagement
• Student projects, including PhD Candidates
• Ongoing academic projects
• University program introduction
• Other related topics

• Hauptplatz location | take streetcar line 1, 2, 3 or 4 or bus line 19 to Hauptplatz and the buses of the Upper Austrian Transport Association to the Untere Donaulände stop.
• Domgasse location | take streetcar line 1, 2, 3 or 4 to the Taubenmarkt or Hauptplatz stop (from there it is about 5 to 7 minutes on foot).

By bike

• All locations are also easy to reach on your own or with a rental bike. There are public bike racks on the roads around the university as well as dedicated bike racks in the courtyards. You can get an overview of how to get there using the Radlobby Linz online cycle map.
• You can also switch to the local bike rental system at the train station. In Linz there are the Citybikes powered by next bike - you can rent them via app. You can reach all our locations from the main train station with a Citybike, the pick-up and return stations are in the immediate vicinity. By car

• Location Hauptplatz/Domgasse | from Passau via the Innkreisautobahn A8 (E66), from Prague/Freistadt via the Mühlkreisautobahn E55/A, from Vienna via the Westautobahn A1 (E60), from Salzburg via the Westautobahn A1 (E55) - in each case exit Hafenstrasse (Exit 11)

Paid parking spaces

• Hauptplatz location | underground parking garage on Hauptplatz (entrance Nibelungenbrücke/Untere Donaulände in the direction of Hauptplatz), in the Lentos, at Pfarrplatz, and in the short-term parking zone along Untere Donaulände
• Location Domgasse | underground parking garage Pfarrplatz
